Sudan is being hurt by the sanctions imposed against it and by the interruption in the flow of oil from the South because of the ongoing conflict with South Sudan. This article from the Sudan Tribune notes that China may step in to help financially. China is the major recipient of oil from Sudan. In the past, China has regularly stepped up to help those nations which are human rights abusers and threats to human dignity around the world whenever the United States and other nations have tried to act against them both in the United Nations and in the financial realm. The primary way to stop this is to stop buying products from China including debt financing. When people are ready to pay twice as much for iPads and iPhones, we will make much more progress.
